OH YES! Selling your stuff is easy and fun! Let us here at Mosaic help turn your house and closet castaways into cash. Or better yet, exchange an outfit that doesn’t fit, for a lamp or picture that fits your style? Please read through our buying procedures and pre-sorting guidelines before coming in. Don’t hesitate to call us with any additional questions you may have."

BUYING PROCEDURES:

  1. Pre-sort (see guidelines below) up to 30 items and put into a box, laundry hamper or paper sack. For furniture and larger items, please email us the photos prior to bringing them in.
  2. Bring in your pre-sorted items for consideration anytime Wednesday through Saturday up to 1 hour before closing. (Sorry, we don’t buy on Sunday’s.) You can either wait for your offer or use our “drop and run” service if you are in a hurry.
  3. While you browse, we’ll look through your items and carefully select those we feel our customers will want. Style, condition, demand and current inventory will factor into our selections. We then price the items and present you with a store credit and a cash offer. You may accept either or choose to decline. Items we are passing on will be returned to you.
  4. At our discretion, you may be offered the consignment option for larger items, more expensive items, or other things we feel might be desired by a ‘smaller audience’. Our consignment policy is a 50/50 split, payable after the item is sold. We are flexible about the length of time the item is in our shop, and we will always discuss reductions in the asking price with you. If you need help transporting your items, we can talk about options.

PRE-SORTING GUIDELINES:

Following these tips will help us maintain our “no appointment necessary” policy, so we thank you in advance for your help.

Fashion

  • Current season and current style items (ask yourself “would I buy this today?”)
  • Sizes for kids 10 through adult, both guys and gals
  • Clothing is clean, ironed and folded
  • Purses and shoes (size 4 and up) are clean and blemish free
  • Jewelry is stylish, all clasps operable
  • All items to be free of: smoke/musty odors, pet hair/odor, stains, pilling, excessive wear, tears, holes, missing buttons, broken zippers, underarm stains, deodorant residue, etc.
  • Sorry we do not take: PJ’s, lingerie, undergarments, socks, tights, watches

Furniture

  • Decorative accessories that are current, desirable or vintage-cool style
  • Art is framed and can be hung; all items clean and dusted
  • Furniture is in good, resalable condition, clean and free of odors
  • Case goods are sturdy and clean, drawers are operable, no missing parts
  • Lamps are operational; rugs are clean; ‘coffee table’ type books are in good condition
  • Linens are clean, ironed and folded
  • Sorry we do not take: bedding, curtains, appliances, music/video/movies, books
